ABC will be hosting a memorial service for Dr. Ernest Childs on Friday, August 23rd at 3 p.m. in the R.A. Torrey Auditorium. As a founding faculty member of the college, he impacted many graduates through his classroom instruction, spirit-filled preaching, and zeal to serve the Lord. Some of the Childs family and his church family from Georgia will join the student body and alumni of ABC to remember his life and ministry.
The service will include audio clips of Dr. Childs’ preaching, words from Dr. Ron Comfort (founder of the college) and Pastor Billy Ingram. After the service, a meal will be served in the Levin Activity Center for all students and guests. Memorial gifts may be made to Ambassador Baptist College or to Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, GA.
While the service will be livestreamed at ambassadors.edu, friends and family are encouraged to attend the service to celebrate the life of this dear saint.
