Hurricane Florence and Campus Safety

Hurricane Florence

This weekend, Hurricane Florence will make landfall on the coast of North and South Carolina. Ambassador Baptist College is committed to the safety of its students and staff at all times, but especially so in the time of inclement weather.

The college is receiving daily briefings from state and local authorities concerning the track of the storm and its impact. As with past storms, the college anticipates high winds and heavy rainfall once the storm arrives. Because of the proposed path of the storm and the distance the college is from the coast, we do not foresee a need for evacuation at this time.

The Dean of Students office stands ready to assist and direct all dormitory students. Our facilities department is prepared for possible power outages that may come as a result of the storm. The college is prepared to provide food for resident students in the event that they are restricted to campus due to weather.

Students and staff will be contacted via the college messaging system for further updates and instructions.
