A study of the backgrounds and a basic analysis of the books of Hebrews through Jude.
GE208.2: Spreadsheet 2 credit hours
A course providing detailed instruction in the principles of electronic spreadsheets. The student will learn about designing and building mathematical spreadsheets and data query requests, creating graphs, and printing. Emphasis will be placed on the application of spreadsheets in the operation of the local church ministry. Prerequisite: GE 108.3 or equivalent. Course fee required.
BI417.3: Greek Exegesis (Romans) 3 credit hours
A study of the principles of exegesis with a practical application to the texts of various New Testament books, with special emphasis given to the preservation of the results of exegesis in each class. Prerequisite: BI 316 or equivalent.
BI101.3: Pentateuch 3 credit hours
An analysis of the content of the first five books of the Bible, with special attention given to creation, the fall of man, the flood, and the tower of Babel, along with a brief refutation of the critics’ arguments. The historical development of the Jewish nation from Abraham until the end of the wilderness wanderings is emphasized.
BI434.2: I & II Peter and Jude 2 credit hours
A study of I & II Peter and Jude, emphasizing the believers’ suffering and glory and their need to stand against false teaching and false teachers.
BI309.2: Hermeneutics 2 credit hours
A study of the science of Biblical interpretation following the dispensational approach, with emphasis on the literal, historical, and grammatical method of interpretation. Some difficult passages are given special attention.
GE211.1: Sign Language Practice 1 credit hour
A course intended to give the student practice in receptive and expressive sign language skills. It will build on the receptive finger-spelling, as well as reverse interpreting from sign language to voice. Also included are English idioms and idiomatic expressions. Prerequisite: GE 112.2 or equivalent.
